Posts About Nothing, Brought to you by Monday – Volume 3

1. I’m never going to be the type of person who can give up carbs. I love them too much. Bread. Pasta. All fresh and warm and making your butter all melty. So effing delicious.

2. So my curtains rods are up, I hung the curtains and….. they need to be hemmed. It’s like the never ending job. Just when you are sitting there all proud of yourself, you notice the 8 inches of curtain hanging all over the floor. And not in the, “I did this on purpose so my fabric pools and makes my ceilings look higher and romantic” kind of way either. So, feeling all ambitious over the weekend, I started to hem them. And then I ran out of thread….. These are the curtains from hell. I now have the overwhelming desire to burn them.

3.Throwing stuff out. That shit is cathartic. I did a pretty decent closet purge last week. Sometimes it’s hard to get rid of things when you know that you spent money on them. But you really do feel so much better without the clutter. I did pretty good, until I was going back through the pile a couple days later and may or may not have pulled all my boy band concert tees back out of the pile. N’Sync,Backstreet Boys, you live to see another day my friends. Rule #1: Never revisit the donation pile! What am I, some kind of rookie?!

4. Is it possible to be the kind of person who love to throw stuff out but occasionally hoards things like postcards and clothing that I’ve attached too much sentimental value to? Because that is me. Not in the “dig me out of my house through a window” kind of hoarder, but, you know.

5. I get to go have a visit with my niece this weekend. I am far far to excited about it. 4 Sleeps!

6. You guys, I think fall season premiers are starting this week and I cannot wait. I’ve had to watch one too many pvr’d Murdoch Mysteries with Gavin the last couple weeks. Things I’m most looking forward to are The Voice, Modern Family, Scandal, New Girl. Oh god I can’t wait!

You know what’s more embarrassing than revisiting the piles of clothes you were planning on taking to Goodwill? When your sister goes to Goodwill and buys BACK the cardigan that you had donated the week before. Talk about humiliating. Bahahahahaha.
